Have you ever gone to a symphony or have seen one on TV?
You have a well dressed Conductor and a complete orchestra with all the instruments. The conductor lifts his wand and music in perfect pitch and harmony begins. He instructs each instrument when to play, with what intensity, when to stop etc.
Our Gut, also known as the microbiome, is where the “friendly bacteria” live. The friendly bacteria actually makes up 70-80% of our Immune system. This area called our ‘Gut’ IS our “Conductor”. The “Instruments” are our organs. The conductor tells each organ when to play, for how long and with what degree of intensity. The end result could be called our “body music” – a well coordinated symphony of all our organs and body systems playing in perfect harmony… which equals HEALTH.
When we take things like antibiotics, prescriptions, have a lot of stress in our life or even eat meat from the grocery store (commercial meat is given antibiotics regularly to avoid sickness or disease in their crowded commercial farms) it throws our delicate balance of our ‘friendly bacteria’ out of whack and / or wipes them out. Butchering or even cooking grocery store meat (non-organic meat) does Not remove the antibiotics from the meat. We eat those antibiotics, absorb them and kill our friendly bacteria… which is a major part of our IMMUNE SYSTEM. With our immune system crippled by such an attack, our bodies defenses are down. The ability to fend off pathogens (enemies to our health – virus, bacteria, fungus, parasites and Cancer cells) is essentially turned off.
Probiotics is a CRITICAL and CRUCIAL part to keep health and avoid becoming a statistic.
The World Health Organization (WHO) made a shocking statement this last year: 1 out of 2 men in their lifetime will now get cancer and 1 out of 3 women will get Cancer. I choose not to be in those statistics. BEING PROACTIVE (a Strong Offense is a GREAT DEFENSE) these days is the Only way to live. Seeing cancer hit my family is something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. I fight back, one day at a time, working at making each day a WIN.
Even though Probiotics play such an extremely important part in our health, other things cannot be forgotten like drinking enough good clean water (2 quart minimum per day or preferably 1/2 your body weight in ounces as most research states for an adult), EXERCISE (just walking is tremendous), more fresh fruits / fresh vegetables and remember the power of Laughter (the Bible says it’s like a Medicine that goes deep, even to the bones).
I like what Hippocrates said: “We have a doctor within us, we just need to help him do his work” meaning give the body a chance to WIN battles and use common sense.
Having a good bowel movement a day (or 2) helps keep toxicity moving out of the body and the “happiness” it brings is your body talking back!
Be pro-active. Life and death begin in the colon Hippocrates states. That includes bowels and gut (your friendly bacteria health).
Live Long, Live Wise and LIVE HAPPY!
The “Take Away”
- Take a high quality Probiotic daily
- Eat organic food (avoiding antibiotics), food without antiobiotics
- Drink good clean water, 1/2 your body weight in ounces.
- Laugh. It’s a very effective immune booster!
